Keller District Councilman Joseph L. Somday serves his 8th year as the Tribes’ Natural Resource Committee Chairman. Somday comes to the Tribes with a rich background in moving forest products to market. He has owned and operated a successful family-owned business, Joe Somday Logging Inc., for 15+ years and continues to promote responsible stewardship of the land and its forests.  Somday, who grew up in Malo, Washington on a Tribal Trust Allotment works alongside the Tribes’ Natural Resource director and the council to manage and protect forests.  Somday also has a two-year Automotive degree from Spokane Community College and raises cattle in his free time.
