Keller district councilman, Jack Ferguson, has nearly 20 years working with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Indian Reservation and its business arm. His career has been heavily involved in community forestry and dedicated protecting CCT’s essential resources. He now sits as the Chair for Management and Budget Committee and a representative on the Executive Committee.
Interspersed throughout his career, Jack Ferguson also worked to reduce hazardous fuels and prevent wildland fires via hand crews and engine crews at Mount Tolman Fire center. Many of these experiences have formed Jack Ferguson’s public policy agenda related to forest management. His main concern has been to address the workforce shortages in forest management and to create equal opportunity employment. He himself has an education grounded in environmental science from Spokane Community College and is a strong supporter of education. He values honesty, integrity, and opportunity.
